Review: Sunday Kind of Love by Dorothy GarLock
Here is a summary of what the book is about. Buckton, Indiana, 1956. As post-war America brims with new opportunities, a young woman discovers the courage to follow her dreams-and her heart...
Gwendolyn Foster's life seems like a dream come true. A bright future in front of her, the successful, traditional man her parents wanted at her side. What more could a girl ask for? But Gwen has a different dream altogether-to be a writer- and she won't rest until it comes true.
Strong arms to support her, not own her... that's what she needs. And she finds them in the most unexpected of places.
Hank Ellis has long been haunted by his little brother's death. He knows the entire town blames him for the accident, but it's only fitting. He blames himself too. So he's shocked when Gwen ignores the vicious gossip and befriends him. And before long, everything changes for them.
Folks warn Gwen about Hank, but she knows in her heart that they're wrong. Drawn to this man of bravery and kindness who encourages her to pursue her passions, Gwen can finally envision the life she's always wanted. And with Gwen, Hank finds the strength to let go of his guilt, as he dares to hope for a future with her.
But braving the town that turns against them isn't the only challenge they face. For Hank still harbors a dark secret, a shocking truth that may force him to lose Gwen forever...
One day it was raining. My husband and I went to the bookstore to browse.
I came across this book. I asked my husband if I could have it he said yes. I am so glad I got it. I am not sure what drew me to this book maybe it was the cover or maybe it was the title or maybe both.
What a incredible story. I fell in love with this book. I couldn't put it down.
I would highly recommend this book. I hope you all will love it as much as I did.
There are some twists and turns in this book.
Happy Reading Everyone!

Review: Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
Here is a summary of what the book is about. Risk everything... for love. What if you couldn't touch anything in the outside world? Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face...or kiss the boy next door?
In Everything Everything, Maddy is a girl who's literally allergic to the outside world, and Olly is the boy who moves in next door... and becomes the greatest risk she's ever taken.
My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I'm allergic to the world. I don't leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He's tall, lean and wearing all black- black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can't predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It's almost certainly going to be a disaster.
Oh my Gosh I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down.
There are some surprises in it that I didn't see coming.
I would recommend this book. I can't wait to see the movie.
I do plan on reading more books by this author.
By the way the author's husband did all of the illustrations in the book.
I thought this book was very well written.

Review: Pearls of Daily Life Short Stories and Poems on Self - Discovery by Antonia Loschner
Here is a summary of what the book is about. In the hurly - burly of daily life, all too often, the Self happens to get lost. However, with its overall knowledge of our needs and strengths, it would by far be the best personal advisor we can have.
This collection of short stories and poems invites a journey of discovery. Diverse but amicable characters are experiencing the joy of rediscovering their Self in manifold situations of everyday life.
A pocket book for small breaks in- between: to explore, reflect, dream, chuckle and relax.
I enjoyed reading this book.
I found the short stories and poems to be uplifting and positive and relatable to everyday life.
I think it is a good reminder that life is to short and you should live it.
This is the type of book you can read on your lunch break or whenever you have free time.
I would recommend this book.

Review: The Romantics by Leah Konen
Here is a summary of what the book is about. Perfect for fans of Lauren Myracle and Rainbow Rowell, The Romantics will charm readers of all ages. Gael Brennan is about to have his heart broken when his first big relationship crumbles on the heels of his parents' painful separation.
Love intervenes with the intention of setting things right- but she doesn't anticipate the intrusion of her dreaded nemesis: the Rebound. Love's plans for Gael are sidetracked by Cara, Gael's hot- sauce- wielding " dream girl."
The more Love meddles, the further Gael drifts from the one girl who can help him mend his heart. Soon Love starts breaking all her own rules- and in order to set Gael's fate back on course, she has to make some tough decisions about what it means to truly care.
I found this book very interesting because it is not narrated by a person. The story is told by a feeling. Yes you heard me right the story is told by Love.
I absolutely loved this book. I felt a little silly because I never knew what Rom- Com stood for until this book. Do you guy's know what it means? I will tell you Rom- Com is short for Romantic Comedy.
I would recommend this book. You guy's will fall in love with it.
Looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Just Another Blog Update
Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. As you know my husband and I went up to Pennsylvania to spend time with my husband's aunt and family. It is very pretty up there. It is also very quite up there where we were because it is in the country.
Anyway it is back to work for me. I love reading books and reviewing them. It is so much fun but it is also a lot of work keeping a blog updated all the time. I want to say thank you again for taking the time to look at my blog. I really appreciate all of you. Hope everyone has a good week!

Review: The Wedding Charm: The Wedding Whisperer (A Magnolias and Moonshine Novella Book 4) by Susan Hatler
Here is a summary of what the book is about. Maid of honor Sarah Carlton hasn't failed at anything since her high school science project was sabotaged by a relentless competitor. So, she'll do whatever it takes to make her best friend Jill's wedding absolutely perfect.
That includes taking the next flight out of Sacramento to retrieve the panicked bride's cherished family wedding charm from her late grandmothers's attic in Atlanta Georgia.
Unfortunately, someone else has offered to come to the bride's rescue- best man Ben Atkins, the same man who destroyed Sarah's high school science project all those years ago. Now he wants to one-up her by retrieving the charm first? Sarah refuses to let that happen. The race is on.
When Sarah and Ben arrive in Atlanta, instead of finding the wedding charm there's a letter from the bride's grandmother directing the bride and groom to complete a series of tasks in order to prove their commitment to each other.
With the wedding only two days away Sarah and Ben must join forces by pretending to be the bride and groom in order to earn the wedding charm. Should be a cinch. After all, how hard can it be to fake true love for forty-eight hours?
Wow what another great book by Susan Hatler.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I thought it was a cute and funny story with some surprises.
I loved how sweet and romantic the story was. I am going to have to read the rest of this series.
I would recommend this book. Go out and buy a copy you will truly enjoy it.

Review: Bookishly Ever After by Isabelle Bandeira
Here is a summary of what the book is about. In a perfect world, sixteen -year-old Phoebe Martins life would be a book. Preferably one filled with magic and a hot paranormal love interest. Unfortunately, her life probably wouldn't even qualify for a quiet contemporary.
Everything changes when Phoebe learns that Dev, the hottest guy in the clarinet section, might actually have a crush on her. So, Phoebe turns to the heroines in her favorite books for inspiration, but becoming as awesome as her book characters isn't as easy as it sounds. When another girl nets Dev for herself right out from under Phoebe's nose, she's crushed.
And, to up the suckage, she gets assigned as his co-counselor at a sixth grade camp and has to spend an entire week tied to the hip with the one guy on the planet she wanted to avoid.
Can she make it through the potential danger of romantic bonfires and nature walks, or will her counseling career end in emotional disaster?
Can she ever go back to her happy world of fictional boys after falling for the real thing?
I felt this was a well written story. It is a page turner.
They say boys in books are just better. I have to disagree having a real relationship is always better even though they can sometimes get messy.
I absolutely loved this book. I totally could relate to Phoebe because I am also a book nerd.
I would recommend this book.
I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Review: Just the Two of Us by Georgie Capron
Here is a summary of what the book is about. Funny, warm, and a story for our time, Just the Two of Us will make you laugh and cry, and remind you never to give up on love.
Lucy is the wrong side of thirty and tormented daily by the idyllic family pictures cluttering up her Facebook newsfeed. All of her friends seem to be getting married and having babies, and yet here she is resolutely single, and no prospect of creating the perfect family she's always dreamt of.
How she longs for it to be her turn. But finding love is complicated, and as time passes she wonders if there might just be another way to make her dreams come true. Is she brave enough to go it alone, or is the fantasy of 'baby makes three' just too precious to give up on?
What an incredible story. I really enjoyed this one.
It's funny to see how everyday words we use are spelled differently in London.
There are some surprises in the storyline. I would recommend this book.
I am looking forward to reading more book by this author.
