Currently Reading

I am reading The Status of All Things: A Novel  by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke.

Here is what the book is about.

What would you do if you could literally rewrite your fate—on Facebook? This heartwarming and hilarious new novel from the authors of Your Perfect Life follows a woman who discovers she can change her life through online status updates.

Kate is a thirty-five-year-old woman who is obsessed with social media. So when her fiancĂ©, Max, breaks things off at their rehearsal dinner—to be with Kate’s close friend and coworker, no less—she goes straight to Facebook to share it with the world. But something’s changed. Suddenly, Kate’s real life starts to mirror whatever she writes in her Facebook status. With all the power at her fingertips, and heartbroken and confused over why Max left her, Kate goes back in time to rewrite their history.

Kate's two best friends, Jules and Liam, are the only ones who know the truth. In order to convince them she’s really time traveled, Kate offers to use her Facebook status to help improve their lives. But her attempts to help them don’t go exactly as planned, and every effort to get Max back seems to only backfire, causing Kate to wonder if it’s really possible to change her fate.

In The Status of All Things, Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke combine the humor and heart of Sarah Pekkanen and Jennifer Weiner while exploring the pitfalls of posting your entire life on the Internet. They raise the questions: What if you could create your picture-perfect life? Would you be happy? Would you still be you? For anyone who’s ever attempted—or failed—to be their perfect self online, this is a story of wisdom and wit that will leave you with new appreciation for the true status of your life.

I am currently reading Sliver Linings: A Rose Harbor Novel by Debbie Macomber. Time to escape to Cedar Cove
Set in Cedar Cove’s charming Rose Harbor Inn, Debbie Macomber’s captivating new novel follows innkeeper Jo Marie and two new guests as they seek healing and comfort, revealing that every cloud has a silver lining, even when it seems difficult to find.

Since opening the Rose Harbor Inn, Jo Marie Rose has grown close to her handyman, Mark Taylor. Jo Marie and Mark are good friends—and are becoming something more—yet he still won’t reveal anything about his past. When Mark tells her that he’s moving out of town, Jo Marie is baffled. Just when she is starting to open herself up again to love, she feels once more that she is losing the man she cares about. And as she discovers the secret behind Mark’s decision to leave, she welcomes two visitors also seeking their own answers.

Best friends Kellie Crenshaw and Katie Gilroy have returned to Cedar Cove for their ten-year high school reunion, looking to face down old hurts and find a sense of closure. Kellie, known as Coco, wants to finally confront the boy who callously broke her heart. Katie, however, wishes to reconnect with her old boyfriend, James—the man she still loves and the one who got away. As Katie hopes for a second chance, Coco discovers that people can change—and both look to the exciting possibilities ahead.

Heartwarming and uplifting, Silver Linings is a beautiful novel of letting go of the past and embracing the unexpected.

One ring plus one wild night equals one crazy love

Sherry Robicheaux loves men. She loves love. And she loves an adventure. So when she meets a mysterious man while working backstage at a country music concert in Vegas, she's all about what's happened in Vegas staying there.

Country music superstar Tyler Blue just wants a weekend of anonymity...though there's something about the spunky waitress with the streaks of purple hair that tempts him like no other. Until the next morning, when they both wake up with fuzzy memories...and rings on their fingers.

Convincing Sherry to maintain the ruse for his public image isn't the hardest part--it's reminding himself that their time spent playing husband and wife in her small town of Magnolia Springs can't last. Tyler's first love will always be music--and the road is no place for a sweet downhome girl.

It was just a simple prank!
Broke and bored, best friends Josh and Mel headed out to the local super store for a little free fun. Feeling mischievous, Josh took control of the store's intercom and popped the question to Mel, but when a video of Josh’s fake proposal ends up on the internet, life takes a turn for the crazy. When a television producer from a popular morning show and an executive from the super store get their hands on the story, the whole thing gets out of control.
Can Mel and Josh find a way to get out of this monstrosity before it goes too far? How are they supposed to explain to everyone that it was all just a prank? Is their friendship strong enough to last through a fake marriage? What will it cost them to sell out?

I am currently reading The Firefly: a  short story by Nina Ceves
Losing her vision is the most terrifying and heartbreaking experience Keiko has ever endured. Yet, she is not without allies in her struggle. Two take the form of very unexpected connections. The Firefly is a short story about one woman's loss, her courage, and the beauty of true love.

Can't Read This book Let alone finish it

I tried reading  The Good and Beautiful God: Falling in Love with the God Jesus Knows ( The Apprentice Series Book 1) by James Bryan Smith. I think this is my first bad review . I thought this book is hard to read because it is more of a work book. This book  is for people who don't know God. At the end of each chapter there are study questions to ask yourself.
