Review 40 Something: Sunday Dinner by Shannon Peel

The kindle version of this book has 55 pages. The chapters are titled  with the characters names.

Here is a blurb  of what the book  is about. It is a story about being a 40 year old woman in the 21st century. The story follows 5 women as they go through their lives as mothers, daughters, wives, sisters, and friends.

I came across this author through goodreads with a comment she wrote about her book in one of the groups we belong to.

This book raises a lot of questions and really makes you think.  Here are some examples of the questions.

Is being 40 something in the 21st century  all that different than when our mothers, grandmothers, and great grandmothers were in their 40s?

The feminist struggle for equality had to make things better for us women, right?

We are busy with kids, careers, houses, friends, and relationships, is this all there is to life?

Is life over when your marriage breaks down?

How do single moms do it?

Is dating in the 21st century all that different  than in the past?

How does one keep the passion alive in a marriage that lasts?

I absolutely loved this book. I would highly recommend every woman should read this book.  It is powerful and every woman can relate to the story.
